On November 29th, a screenshot of the tweet reached the front page of the /r/TwoBestFriendsPlay subreddit. On November 26th, Twitter user tweeted a parody ending with the punchline "But doctor, I am Tony Hawk," receiving upwards of 5,600 likes and 2,000 retweets within three months. Within one year, the tweet gained over 34,000 likes and 11,300 retweets. On February 18th, 2018, Twitter user tweeted a parody of the joke in which the doctor calls Pagliacci a "downright dogshit of a clown" (shown below). On August 13th, 2014, Redditor YouJustGotSmurfed submitted a picture of Robin Williams captioned with the Rorschach quote to /r/wallpapers (shown below). The man looks at the doctor for a moment.
